The company is seeking an enthusiastic IT Apprentice with a genuine interest in technology, excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and develop. The successful candidate will join a friendly, highly supportive team of experienced professionals committed to nurturing new talent. This varied role offers extensive opportunities to gain experience across a broad range of operations, including consultancy and software development, within a relaxed working environment that enjoys plenty of social activities. The position offers a salary in the range of £17,000–£20,000 per annum.

Alongside valuable hands-on experience, the apprentice will complete their programme with Baltic Apprenticeships, attending immersive 2-day training blocks every 4-6 weeks to build both technical expertise and essential professional skills.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:
Assist with core IT security activities including password resets, multi-factor authentication administration, antivirus configuration, encryption tasks, and the creation and maintenance of Group Policies.

Interpret and apply technical documentation such as security policies, technical specifications, knowledge base articles, network diagrams, and vendor documentation.

Create and maintain clear support documentation, including procedures, known issues, and resolutions.

Support service delivery by working within service level agreements (SLAs), monitoring ticket queues, and escalating incidents when appropriate.

Record, track, and maintain an auditable history of incidents, requests, and escalations using the organisation’s service management and ticketing systems.

Provide professional technical support to internal and external users via telephone, email, instant messaging, video calls, and ticketing platforms.

Full training and suport will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
£17,000-£20,000 per annum.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
