Full job description

Location: DFYNE HQ, 1 Forrest Gate, Uddingston, G71 5PG

Work Location: In person

About You:

Do you love taking ownership of systems, networks and all the moving technical pieces that keep

a business running?

Are you the type of person who jumps straight into troubleshooting because solving problems is

just what you do?

Do you naturally organise, improve, and optimise everything you touch, as well as getting a real

buzz from making systems more reliable, secure, and efficient?

Are you the calm presence during outages, the steady hand during chaos, and the person people

know they can rely on?

If you’re looking to be a core part of a team, have real impact, and work somewhere where your

voice actually matters…

DFYNE could be exactly right for you.

About DFYNE:

A picture paints a thousand words… and we’re sure you don’t want to be sat here reading an

essay of corporate “about us” spiel…

Seriously, how’re you able to really get under the skin of what we’re about from a few words on screen. So why don’t you take a look and see what we’re all about for yourself www.dfyne.com

About the Role – DFYNE Your Career:

First off, it’s best I introduce myself (person behind the keyboard here), it’s not the

norm on a job role spec, but I feel it’s important you get introduced to who you may

be working with for a long time early on.

I’m Oscar, the CEO & founder of DFYNE.

I’m looking for someone who’s going to help me take DFYNE’s Networks & Systems

to the next level.

As we grow, our systems and networks are becoming more important than ever. We need

someone who’s ready to take the lead on keeping everything running smoothly, securely, and

efficiently.

This isn’t a “follow the script” support role.

It’s a position where you’ll have real ownership over our infrastructure and play a vital part in

shaping how DFYNE operates every single day.

You’ll be the person making sure the team has fast, reliable, secure systems, helping identify

improvements, roll out changes, handle problems, and generally keep the technical heartbeat of

DFYNE thriving.

If you love variety, responsibility, and the chance to actually make things better, then you will

thrive here.

Attitude

  • Trustworthy and dependable — you’re handling the backbone of the company

  • Proactive — always spotting ways to improve systems, processes, and performance

  • Calm under pressure — especially when something breaks or time is tight

  • Curious — always keen to learn, experiment, and look under the hood

  • Organised, reliable, and driven to do things properly

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and optimise networks, servers, systems, and core infrastructure

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across environments

  • Implement strong backup, recovery, and security practices

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues for the wider team

  • Roll out upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve performance and reliability

  • Act as the initial point of contact, providing 1st line technical support to end users.

Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

  • Good communication across technical and nontechnical teams

  • Solid understanding of systems and networks

  • Organisational and time-management skills

  • Willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-moving environment

So, what’s in it for you?

If you’ve made it this far without being put off, brilliant, I’d love to hear from you.

Besides a work family and a great place to work, you’ll have an opportunity to grow with the company, be a part of the journey, and have a vital input into helping continue the crazy growth we’ve already seen.

At DFYNE, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of the core technical systems that keep everything running

  • Be part of a high challenge, high reward environment

  • Work with a supportive, passionate, and driven team

  • Grow alongside a company that’s scaling at speed

Experience Needed:

We don’t hire based only on experience but for this role, a strong background in Networks &

Systems is desirable.

You’ll be part of a high challenge; high reward culture.
