Linsco require a static concrete pump operative in Sheffield.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced CPCS / NPORS Static Concrete Pump Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating static concrete pumping equipment safely and efficiently on various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the smooth delivery of concrete, supporting the progress of large-scale building projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality results while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Duties

  • Operate CPCS (Construction Plant Certification Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) certified static concrete pumps with precision and care
  • Set up and dismantle concrete pumping equipment in accordance with safety protocols and project specifications
  • Coordinate with site managers and other trades to ensure timely delivery of concrete and smooth workflow
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the pump machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times
  • Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed to keep equipment operational
  • Maintain detailed logs of operations, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes

Skills

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for static concrete pumps, demonstrating recognized competence in operating plant machinery
  • Experience operating excavators is advantageous for site setup and auxiliary tasks
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues and perform basic repairs or maintenance on pumping equipment
  • Ability to drive commercial vehicles safely, including transporting equipment between sites when required
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
  • Proven ability to follow safety procedures diligently in a fast-paced construction environment
