Summary

We are currently seeking a Transport Team Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient management of our transportation operations, contributing to our commitment to quality, service and timely delivery across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the transport, goods in and dispatch department to ensure timely deliveries.
• Develop and implement effective transport strategies to optimise efficiency.
• Manage relationships with transport providers and negotiate contracts as necessary.
• Monitor and analyse transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with drivers hours, health and safety and tachograph legislations within the transport operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to align transport activities with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport management & management CPC/O licence holder.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and other IT tools relevant to transport management.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
• Good knowledge of KPIs and their application.
• Strong people management and team working skills

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30-16:00
