We are now looking for an experienced Installation Manager to take ownership of our installation operation and help us continue delivering the standards our customers expect.

This is an important role within the business and one that requires someone who is prepared to be genuinely hands on.

We are not looking for someone who wants to manage the department solely from behind a desk.

We need someone who will lead the team, support the office, help solve problems, get involved practically when required and take responsibility for making sure our installations and customer journey run properly from start to finish.

The Role

As Installation Manager, you will oversee the day to day running of the entire installation operation.

This includes our Installation Office, fitting teams, service work, installation scheduling, materials, deliveries and the overall customer journey.

You will work closely with the team to make sure jobs are properly prepared, installations run smoothly and any problems are identified and resolved quickly.

Because we are a close knit business, everyone gets involved when required.

That could mean helping organise or support deliveries, checking materials, helping prepare jobs for installation, speaking with customers, supporting fitters, resolving an issue on site or helping the office team keep projects moving.

The key requirement is ownership.

If something needs sorting, we want someone who will take responsibility for getting it resolved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and manage the Installation Team on a daily basis.
• Oversee the Installation Office and ensure jobs are properly planned, prepared and progressed.
• Manage installation schedules, fitting capacity and resources.
• Oversee our service operation and make sure outstanding service issues are dealt with efficiently.
• Support fitting teams with technical, operational and customer related issues.
• Make sure products, materials and information are ready before installations begin.
• Help organise and support deliveries when required.
• Check materials and help ensure the correct products are available for each installation.
• Provide practical support to the installation team when needed to keep jobs moving.
• Monitor projects throughout the installation process and identify problems early.
• Speak directly with customers when required and take ownership of resolving concerns professionally.
• Make sure customers are kept informed throughout their installation journey.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality and right first time installations.
• Work closely with Sales, Surveying, Customer Care and the wider Eden team.
• Manage suppliers and product related issues where required.
• Monitor installation costs, remedials, service work and wasted resources.
• Help improve systems and processes across the installation department.
• Maintain high standards across installations, servicing and customer communication.
• Make sure the complete customer journey reflects the standards and reputation of Eden Windows.

About You

We are looking for someone who understands that working within a smaller, family run business requires flexibility, responsibility and a willingness to get involved.

You will be comfortable leading a team, but equally comfortable rolling your sleeves up when something needs doing.

You should have:

• Previous experience managing installations within windows, doors, home improvements, construction or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of installation operations.
• Good understanding of the challenges involved in working in customers' homes.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning ability.
• Confidence dealing with customers and resolving difficult situations.
• A practical, solutions focused approach.
• Good commercial awareness.
• An understanding of the cost of poor planning, wasted materials, remedials and repeat visits.
• High standards and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise when several issues need attention at the same time.
• A willingness to get involved practically when required.

Most importantly, we want someone who takes ownership.

Someone who sees a problem and works out how to solve it rather than waiting for somebody else to deal with it.
