Sterling PVCU is one of the North West’s longest established, and largest, manufacturers of PVC and Aluminium windows and doors, servicing trade and retail customer throughout the northwest, Yorkshire, Midlands and North Wales. Sterling PVCU is a family-owned local business established over 30 years ago.

Job Overview

To support our ongoing growth plans we are seeking an experienced Installations manager to oversee and coordinate the installations of our PVC and Aluminium products. These include windows, doors, patio’s, Bi-folding doors and conservatories etc.

Duties

- Organising teams of surveyors and installers

- Performing daily administration duties

- Review installation plans and schematics to determine project requirements

- Be proficient in running and managing large numbers of staff (Approx 14 teams)

- Managing subcontractors such as electricians, brickies, ground workers, etc to ensure all works are complete to pre-agreed schedules

- Coordinate installation schedules and explain the projects as needed

- Effectively managing staff with daily tasks and schedules

- Manage inventory of material and equipment required for installations

- Liaise with clients to address any concerns or issues during the installation process

- Completing jobs in a timely manner

- Keeping management and other staff in the loop on how jobs are going

- Checking jobs before they go out

- Speaking to customers and inspecting works

- Sorting and solving any problems that may occur during installations and being able to identify any issue or potential issues

Qualifications

- Proven experience in installations management or a related field

- Strong knowledge of various installations techniques and procedures

- Proficiency in reading drawing and surveys

- Excellent organisation and leadership abilities

- The individual should be IT literate and able to use software such as Excel

- Health and safety qualifications are advantageous

- Prior experience working with PVCU and Aluminium products would be preferred

- Ideally have strong experience across quality control
