Full job description

The position is within a well established manufacturing double glazing company. We have been manufacturing and installing Upvc products for 25 years. We pride yourselves in producing products to a very high standard and providing our customers with a product they know will last.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking to further their experience in the Upvc window and door manufacturing industry. There is also potential to further your skills with us in the future to train as a service engineer.

The job requirements for the fabricator welder position are reading paperwork, measuring, cutting, welding Upvc windows and doors into finished product. Minimum experience of up to 5 years is required. The right candidate must have extensive experience in the cutting and welding side of fabricating Upvc windows and doors. The starting salary is based upon what experience you have in the industry, this will be discussed in the interview.

With regards to holidays we currently have two weeks shutdown over the Christmas period and two, one week holidays in June and August. You will not be required to work any bank holidays or weekends. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm with a half hour for lunch.

Other responsibilities are to help take in deliveries of glass, profile and conservatory roof systems etc. Preform stock takes whilst working along side other staff members. Cleaning down your work area, following health and safety protocal. Our staff pride them selves on producing a high quality product. Our average production is around 30 to 40 frames per week.

The successful applicant with need to be able to work well within a team and also have the ability to work independently. It is a permanent position. The successful applicant will have to complete a probationary period.
