Futureglaze Windows are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join our award winning Double Glazing Team to service and maintain the window, door and conservatory installations. This is a very exciting opportunity to join our busy team who have been trading for 36 years. Whilst our factory is based in the Rhondda your calls will be across South Wales.

Responsibilities:

  • Your duties will be varied and will include, but not limited to: Service call-outs, assessing and making repairs, adjustments to doors, locks, windows etc, UPVC and aluminium.
  • Identifying and ordering parts where necessary.
  • Carrying out emergency calls as and when required.
  • Ensuring the vehicle is fully stocked with all components to complete service calls, reporting any fitting problems to the Installation Manager.
  • Up keeping of the factory and recycling unit.
  • Taking in incoming deliveries & quality checking these
  • Assisting with fitting jobs when required
  • Always striving to ensure this service call is completed in one visit
  • Ensuring the factory is in order
  • Mantinence in the showroom/ factory where required

The ideal candidate must have experience of window, door and conservatory installation service work. A background knowledge of the building industry would be advantageous along with being able to fit blinds as this will be part of the role.

The successful candidate will be joining our service team which at the moment consists of two engineers. Although the role will spend a lot of time working along, working as part of a small team is a vital skill.

Please do not reply if you do not have experience working as a double glazing engineer as you will not be considered for the role. This is a fully employed position, the competitive salary will be based on exsperience and skill set and will be discussed at the interview stage.

The working hours are Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm. As emergency call outs are part of the role sometimes the finishing time will be later than 5pm.

You must have a full UK driving licence. Any points or disqualifications must enclosed at the application stage.
