Full job description
This role is full time (35 hours per week), however hours may vary in the winter months due to the hotel being quieter. The shifts are split from 0800 - 1200 and 1900 - 2300.
Due to our location and the limited public transport in the winter months, it is essential that you are able to drive.

About the role
As Food & Beverage Assistant, you will support the Restaurant and Bar teams to provide an enjoyable and peaceful stay for our guests. Whether they are drinking cocktails in the sun on our terrace, having afternoon tea in our conservatory or dining with our 4 course menu in the restaurant, there is something for every guest at Budock Vean Hotel. We pride ourselves on delivering the best service and we are looking for like minded individuals to join our family!
The wage for this role depends on age and will be confirmed to you in your interview. The wage is £11.44 for anyone over 21 years old and is regularly reviewed.
Your main responsibilities will include
· Provide our guests with a high standard of customer service. This will include taking orders, making drinks and clearing tables.
· Encourage repeat booking of clients.
· Assist the Bar and Restaurant team in achieving its goals by putting ideas forward.
· Stay up to date with information about food and drinks menus and be able to communicate this information to guests.
· Maintain standards of health and hygiene within the Restaurant and Bar and the wider hotel.
· Maintain professionalism in personal appearance and cleanliness.
About you
With a passion for people and hospitality, you will have the drive to create memorable experiences for our guests! You may not have much experience in the industry, but you are willing to learn and take on new challenges, remaining positive and friendly. Wine and mixology experience is preferred, but not essential.
You will need to be available to work weekends and evenings. We have part time and full time positions available. Please specify how many hours you are looking for in your application.
