Progress Chaser/Team Leader

Department: Production Supervisory team

Reporting to: Production Manager

All our orders and products are bespoke and therefore the orders and stock that you will be responsible for and the work you are overseeing are constantly changing, its critical that the person applying for this role is adaptable under pressure and is able to plan, make decisions and adapt to constant change whilst keeping the team driven and motivated.

The Progress Chaser/Team leader role is key to supporting the Production Management team to ensure we have the necessary communication, drive, determination, and leadership within the production department to achieve our vision goals.

Requirements:

· Supervisory experience or at least some experience of planning work for a team and chasing the work through.

· Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills

· Excellent attention to detail and data analysis skills

· Excellent emotional intelligence and performance management skills

· IT skills (Excel, word, outlook etc)

· Lean Manufacturing experience

Key areas of the role:

*Control and direct the team on a day-to-day basis as directed by the Team Leader and Supervisors.

*Progress/chase work through production, make sure that the teams are working SMART – right jobs at the right time.

*Work with the leadership team to agree and set targets.

*Liaise with the leadership team make sure that operatives are efficient at hitting targets, and adapting plans as the situation changes throughout the day.

*Highlight and discuss any issues with the Management team in relation to processes, manning, materials, or machine issues, in relevant Team Briefs, SIC meetings, and adhoc where necessary.

*Undertake personal development and work towards progressing on the roadmap.

*Lead by example and demonstrate an exceptional record in all aspects of performance, timekeeping & attendance, consistently scoring 6 and over for attitude and performance.

*Ensure everyone is using the scanning equipment correctly and accurately.

*Ensure machine start up is done each morning ready for the start of shift.

*Use the relevant reports to ensure that work for other areas is completed by the agreed deadline.

*Complete End of shift handovers.

*Inform Empower and Engage the team – make sure operatives know what your expectations are and gain their commitment to achieve those expectations.

*Any other duties as required that the role of team leader would need to fulfil

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.14-£14.19 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
