Window, Door & Conservatory Surveyor

The Window Co | Stretford, Greater Manchester

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience

About Us

The Window Co is a well-established, family-run business specialising in high-quality windows, doors and conservatories across Greater Manchester.

Established in 1988, we've built an excellent reputation for quality products, professional installations and outstanding customer service.

We're now looking for an experienced Window, Door & Conservatory Surveyor to join our growing team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out accurate technical surveys of windows, doors and conservatories, ensuring all products are correctly specified and ready for manufacture and installation.

Working closely with our sales, office and installation teams, you'll play an important role in ensuring projects run smoothly from survey through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed technical surveys for replacement windows, doors and conservatories.
  • Accurately measure and specify uPVC and aluminium windows, composite doors, bifolding doors and conservatory products.
  • Survey conservatory roof replacements, including warm roof systems.
  • Identify potential installation challenges, structural requirements and any additional building work.
  • Prepare accurate survey documentation and manufacturing specifications.
  • Ensure all surveys comply with current building regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and installation teams to ensure projects are completed correctly.
  • Maintain the high standards of workmanship and customer service expected at The Window Co.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in technical surveying within the window, door and conservatory industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of uPVC and aluminium products.
  • A good understanding of conservatory construction and roof replacement systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and installation requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
  • A full UK driving licence.
