Full job description

About us

We are two established and growing home improvement brands helping homeowners transform the spaces they live in.

CI Group specialises in innovative conservatory roof insulation and replacement roof solutions, helping homeowners enjoy their conservatories throughout the year.

Kitchen Makeover Group offers a smarter alternative to replacing an entire kitchen, transforming existing spaces with replacement doors, worktops and finishing touches.

We're bringing our social media management in-house and looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media & Content Executive to help tell our stories, showcase our work and grow our online presence.

The role

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a great eye for content and knows how to turn everyday moments into engaging photography, videos and stories.

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day organic social media activity for both brands, from generating ideas and planning content calendars to filming, editing, writing captions and publishing posts.

This isn't a role where you'll spend all day behind a desk. You'll regularly visit customers' homes and installation sites across the UK, capturing before-and-after transformations, customer testimonials, behind-the-scenes footage and the people behind our brands.

You'll need to be comfortable travelling, including occasional overnight stays, and confident working independently to capture high-quality content.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, experiment with new formats and help shape how our brands appear on social media.

Key responsibilities

Social media management

· Plan, create, schedule and publish engaging organic content across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok and other relevant platforms.

· Manage separate content calendars for CI Group and Kitchen Makeover Group, ensuring each has its own distinctive brand voice and personality.

· Develop a varied mix of content, including transformations, customer stories, educational posts, product features, behind-the-scenes footage and entertaining, trend-led content.

· Write engaging captions that reflect each brand's tone of voice and encourage interaction.

· Identify relevant social media trends, formats and opportunities to keep our content fresh and engaging.

· Manage day-to-day community engagement, responding to comments and messages and escalating customer service enquiries appropriately.

Influencer Marketing & Partnerships

· Identify and build relationships with relevant home improvement, interiors, renovation and lifestyle influencers and content creators.

· Develop creative influencer collaborations that increase brand awareness, build credibility and showcase our products in real homes.

· Co-ordinate partnerships from initial outreach through to content creation and delivery, ensuring activity aligns with brand objectives.

· Track partnership performance, including engagement, referrals, enquiries and return on investment.

Photography and video production

· Independently plan, shoot and edit high-quality photography and video content for both brands.

· Travel to customer homes and installation sites across the UK to capture completed projects, before-and-after transformations and work in progress.

· Film customer testimonials, interviews, product demonstrations and behind-the-scenes content.

· Create engaging short-form videos, including Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts.

· Confidently direct customers, installers and colleagues during shoots to capture natural, authentic content.

· Edit photography and video to a professional standard, including captions, graphics, transitions and audio.

· Maintain an organised library of photography, video footage and other creative assets for use across social media and wider marketing campaigns.

Content planning and creative development

· Work with the Head of Marketing to turn wider marketing objectives and campaigns into engaging social media content.

· Proactively generate new content ideas rather than waiting for briefs.

· Identify opportunities to showcase customer experiences, product benefits, company achievements and the people behind the brands.

· Work with internal teams to organise content opportunities and co-ordinate filming at customer properties.

· Create branded graphics and visual assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

· Support wider marketing activity by producing content that can be repurposed for websites, digital advertising and other channels.

Performance and optimisation

· Monitor social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth, video views and website traffic.

· Produce regular performance reports, highlighting successful content and opportunities for improvement.

· Use insights to refine content plans and improve results.

· Identify opportunities to grow brand awareness, build trust and encourage customer enquiries.

Skills and experience

Essential

· Minimum 3 years' experience in social media management, content creation or a similar marketing role.

· Proven experience creating and managing content for business social media accounts.

· Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to independently capture high-quality content.

· Confident editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar.

· A strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, including what makes content engaging and shareable.

· Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt content to different brand voices.

· A creative eye for composition, lighting, visual storytelling and attention to detail.

· Experience using content planning and scheduling tools.

· Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Comfortable working with customers and colleagues to capture natural, engaging content.

· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.

Desirable

· Experience creating content for home improvement, interiors, property, lifestyle or consumer brands.

· Experience photographing interiors, finished projects or property transformations.

· Experience identifying, engaging and managing influencers and content creators, with an understanding of how to develop authentic partnerships that deliver measurable commercial results.

· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom or Canva.

· Confidence appearing on camera and presenting content when appropriate.

· An understanding of social media analytics and how organic content can support wider marketing objectives.

· Experience working across multiple brands.

What we're looking for

· We're looking for someone who is creative, curious and full of ideas, but equally happy rolling up their sleeves and making things happen.

· You'll be someone who spots content opportunities that others might miss, knows how to make everyday subjects interesting and takes pride in producing work that looks great.

· You'll need to be confident approaching customers and colleagues, comfortable working independently and organised enough to manage the social media presence of two busy brands.

· Most importantly, you'll understand that great social media isn't just about following trends. It's about creating authentic, engaging content that connects with people and builds trust in our brands.
