Experienced Window & Door Fitter – Full-Time / Part-Time

Windows & Doors Depot Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable and skilled Window & Door Fitter to join our growing team based in Reading, Berkshire.

We manufacture and supply a wide range of high-quality uPVC and aluminium windows, composite doors, bifolding doors and other glazing products.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and can deliver a professional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to a high standard.
  • Fitting composite doors, French doors, patio doors and bifolding doors.
  • Removing and replacing existing windows and doors.
  • Carrying out adjustments, repairs and remedial work.
  • Ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Communicating professionally with customers and the office team.
  • Occasionally assisting with conservatory installations and other glazing projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience fitting windows and doors.
  • Good understanding of uPVC and aluminium systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional attitude and good customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Own tools and transport advantageous, particularly for self-employed applicants.

ALSO RECRUITING – HANDYPERSON / WINDOW & DOOR REPAIRS & CALLOUTS

We are also looking for a reliable, experienced handyperson to assist with customer callouts, repairs and general maintenance work.

This role would suit someone with experience in property maintenance, window and door repairs, or general building maintenance.

Typical work includes:

  • Adjusting and repairing windows and doors.
  • Replacing hinges, handles, locks and other hardware.
  • Resolving issues with doors that are catching, dropping or not closing correctly.
  • Replacing seals and carrying out minor remedial work.
  • Attending customer service and warranty callouts.
  • Completing general maintenance and small repair jobs.

We are particularly interested in someone who can work independently, diagnose problems and provide a professional service to customers.

Flexible and self-employed arrangements can be considered for the callout role.
