Based in Upchurch Kent, we are a father & son run company where we are currently looking for a young highly motivated Trainee Garage Door Installer/Service Engineer to join our family run growing team.

As a trainee you will always be in a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of garage doors and related systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience in using hand tools and power tools.

Full Training Programme will be provided.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of garage door types, including manual, automatic, roller, and sectional doors.
  • Service: Carry out inspections on garage doors to ensure they are compliant and working to the best of their abilities.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Identify faults, diagnose problems, and provide appropriate solutions efficiently on site.
  • Install New Garage Doors - Install new roller or sectional garage doors to a very high standard.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by offering expert advice, maintaining a high level of professionalism, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Learn problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Full Manual UK driving license (Essential)
  • If no garage door experience; proven experience in construction-related roles such as plumbing, carpentry, or double glazing is desirable due to transferable skills.
  • Physically fit

Candidate must be local to our factory.

  • Full Time: Monday-Friday.
  • 28 Days Holiday Entitlement
  • Full Uniform Provided
