Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing roofs across various residential and commercial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Candidates should have a strong understanding of safety procedures and be capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Experience fitting premanufactured replacement roof systems eg icotherm, Ultraframe, Supalite, Guardian etc. We are a network installer for the Ultraframe HUP system. Experience is an advantage but training can be provided.
  • Remove old or damaged roofs safely and efficiently.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to complete installations
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and building codes
  • Assist with related tasks such as plastering, masonry, or construction painting as required
  • Collaborate with other trades such as window fitting, carpentry, or electrical teams to ensure seamless project completion
  • Maintain a clean and organised work site, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise installations

Experience

  • Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as window fitting, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or carpentry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Knowledge of construction processes including masonry, plastering, and construction painting is advantageous
  • Ability to read technical schematics and interpret construction drawings accurately
