Careers at MTa Learning

Marketing and Content Lead

Are you a creative, practical marketer with an interest in education, learning and development, facilitation or organisational psychology?

MTa Learning designs practical experiential learning kits and activities that help facilitators deliver structured, memorable learning experiences. Our activities are used to support outcomes in areas such as leadership, teamwork, communication, problem solving, decision making and personal development.

Our work is used in more than 100 countries by facilitators, consultancies, schools, universities, charities, public-sector organisations and global businesses.

We are now looking for a Marketing Manager to help us communicate the value of MTa more clearly, visually and effectively.

This is a marketing role with a strong focus on content, digital campaigns and video. You will help facilitators and organisations understand what MTa does, how our activities work and how they can support meaningful learning experiences. A key part of the role will be helping us move from mainly text-based marketing towards more visual, graphical and video-led content.

You will be part of a small, ambitious team, with the opportunity to shape and improve how MTa presents itself to facilitators, learning professionals and organisational buyers around the world.

We pride ourselves on offering a flexible working environment and can accommodate part-time and term-time working.

We are very open to candidates returning to work after a career break, as well as people looking for a role that fits around family, caring or other commitments. What matters most is your judgement, creativity, communication skills and ability to help us improve how MTa is presented to the world.

Your responsibilities could include:

  • Developing video-led marketing content for our website, YouTube, LinkedIn, email and paid campaigns
  • Turning existing written content into clearer, more visual and more engaging marketing materials
  • Creating content that shows how MTa activities are selected, delivered, reviewed and applied
  • Managing or delivering marketing emails, PPC campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns and remarketing activity
  • Improving website content, landing pages and online customer journeys
  • Using analytics to understand what is working and improve future marketing activity
  • Supporting community engagement with facilitators, trainers and learning professionals around the world
  • Helping maintain a consistent, professional and credible MTa voice across our marketing channels

This is primarily a marketing and content role. There may be some customer and community interaction, but the emphasis is on creating effective marketing rather than direct sales.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain ideas clearly
  • Confidence creating, editing or managing video and visual content
  • A practical understanding of digital marketing channels such as email, PPC, LinkedIn, websites, YouTube and remarketing
  • The initiative to make things happen in a small, fast-moving business
  • An interest in learning, facilitation, leadership, teamwork or organisational psychology
  • The ability to think internationally and communicate across cultural and geographic boundaries
  • Comfort working in an environment where priorities can evolve quickly
  • A balance of creativity, commercial awareness and analytical thinking

You don’t need everything, we are open to shaping the role around the right person.

In return, we offer:

  • Immediate responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible difference
  • The chance to work with distinctive experiential learning activities used around the world
  • Potential travel to workshops and trade shows, including in Dubai and the USA (optional)
  • Scope for the role to develop into marketing leadership, consultancy or facilitation
  • Flexible, part-time and term-time working options

Salary: £30,000–£50,000 FTE, pro rata depending on experience.

Location: Boston Spa, LS236AN, UK. Hybrid working.

Hours: Full time, part time, and term time working available.

If you would like an informal conversation about the role before applying, please email marketingrole@mtalearning.com to arrange a time.

You can learn more about MTa Learning at www.experientiallearning.org.

Closing Date: July 1st. The role may close early if we find a suitable candidate.
