Our Team

We’ve a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Specialist to join our small but mighty team who are on a mission to create brilliant digital colleague experiences underpinned by straightforward processes.

Are you a bit of a digital tech geek, but with that extra passion for exceptional service experiences?

This role has the colleague at the heart – designing, building, and optimising self-serve tools and solutions that still create a human connection. Reporting into the Colleague Digital Tool Development Manager you’ll have a key role in HR Citizen development of the digital strategic goals for the People & Comms Function.

What you’ll be doing

  • As an SME in digital HR tools you’ll create, develop, optimise, maintain, and update relevant People SharePoint sites, VMx and our virtual chat bot HaRi to enable colleagues to self-serve.
  • Proactively reach out to all content owners for updates to policy/ process to ensure content in all HR digital channels is accurate, engaging and current.
  • Leading the design and development of enhanced workflow/ case management solutions through Microsoft tools, Power apps and BI insights
  • Working in partnership with a wide variety of internal and external partners to deliver a first-class digital experience for colleagues and people leaders.
  • Implementing digital solutions designed to support quick / easy guidance support for our colleagues and people leaders and continue working with the Colleague Experience Squad to map out the current and proposed future colleague journey’s (process, policy, touch points and technology) to enhance, explore continuous improvements and simplify the experience.
  • Preparing and supporting the delivery of presentations HRLT and similar audiences, showcasing the HR digital colleague experience and where enhancement and efficiencies can be made.
  • Being accountable for insights and real-time monitoring for HaRi queries, the updating of content to address queries that “fall out” of the process and enhance/optimise the HaRi capability – making iterative ongoing improvements.
  • Completing technical impact assessments of any change to the service provided by our strategic partner Microsoft and take action to mitigate any downstream or user impact.

We need you to have

  • Experience of designing, developing, and implementing digital solutions along with working knowledge of process improvement and ability to automate where possible using the tools available.
  • Experience with Microsoft power Platform, including Model driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate & Power Pages.
  • Proven experience of successfully working across large complex projects which required collaboration and clear, engaging and impactful communication using SharePoint or other Microsoft applications.
  • The ability to design, optimize and enhance digital channels including advanced knowledge of SharePoint, PowerBI & Teams
  • A track record of creating process and workflow maps accompanied by expert knowledge of using tools such as Power BI/ Insights, Microsoft Excel and Visio.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Innovative mindset and curiosity, keeping up to date on the latest functionality being delivered by Microsoft in their wave releases.
  • A flair for keeping the complex simple as you present data and solutions in an engaging, succinct way, adapting for your audience.
  • Great listening and trouble shooting skills, the ability to understand a problem and complete comprehensive root cause analysis.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
