We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead a prestigious B&I catering operation within a private investment firm. This is a high-profile, free-issue site requiring a hands-on leader with a passion for excellence.

The successful candidate will have proven senior management experience within contract catering, exceptional attention to detail, strong financial and budgetary control, and the ability to deliver outstanding client and guest experiences. You will lead from the front, inspire high-performing teams, and ensure the highest standards across food, service, compliance, and hospitality.

Main responsibilities

  • To organise and lead the contract in accordance with and to the standards required by The Genuine Dining Co. and the client.
  • To be responsible for the overall efficient and effective running of the contract to provide great quality retail catering and hospitality services.
  • To develop and train a highly motivated team who put our customers first and deliver the contractual requirements.
  • Ensure your contract is compliant and run commercially in line
  • Driving the service and support to exceed our client's and our customers' expectations.
  • Implementing plans to achieve strategic growth of the operation and overall contract delivery.
  • To be proactive in the engagement of customers and adapting the offer to suit their needs

The Ideal candidate

  • A real foodie with a love and appreciation for great food and exceptional customer service
  • Previous experience of at least two years’ experience in a similar food service role and contract size
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with a bespoke offer and brand
  • Creative and innovative approach with a hands on work ethic
  • Great people management skills with the ability to influence and lead
  • Results orientated, able to demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Proven experience in managing successful teams to deliver results
  • Previous budget management and/or profit & loss responsibility
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders
  • IT & computer literate
