About the Role
Pure Unity Health Group is seeking an experienced and ambitious Bid Manager to lead the development and submission of high-quality NHS and public sector bids. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing new business growth across healthcare, community services, rehabilitation, physiotherapy and occupational health sectors.
Working closely with the wider ExamWorks UK bid team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification and qualification through to submission, presentation support and contract mobilisation.
This role is ideal for an established Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer looking to step into a broader strategic role with significant exposure to NHS commissioning and public sector procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new opportunities through Contracts Finder, Tenders Direct and internal procurement platforms.
• Review tender opportunities and make recommendations on suitability and strategic fit.
• Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through to submission.
• Obtain and analyse ITT documentation and procurement requirements.
• Write, edit and quality assure compelling, high-scoring tender responses.
• Develop tailored responses that demonstrate understanding of NHS priorities including:
  • Integrated and neighbourhood care
  • Prevention and early intervention
  • Health inequalities
  • Workforce sustainability
  • Population health management
  • Patient-centred care
  • Value for money
  • Partnership working
• Work with operational, clinical, commercial and subject matter experts to gather evidence and develop winning submissions.
• Manage clarification questions through procurement portals.
• Support commercial and pricing model development.
• Maintain and develop the bid library and bid tracker.
• Coordinate presentation and mobilisation activity following tender submission.
• Analyse feedback from unsuccessful bids and implement continuous improvement activities.

About You
We are looking for someone who combines excellent writing ability with strong project management and commercial awareness.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience managing and writing successful NHS and/or public sector bids.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes.
• Experience developing persuasive tender responses.
• Experience managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

• Healthcare, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, occupational health or community services experience.
• Knowledge of NHS commissioning structures including NHS England, ICBs, Trusts and Primary Care Networks.
• Exposure to commercial modelling and pricing for service contracts.
