Our exclusive clubhouse in Woodcote Park, Epsom is looking for an IT Applications Manager to join our well established team.

The role is office based, predominantly in our Epsom clubhouse, though travel to our Pall Mall office in London will be required as work/projects dictate.

Purpose of the role

As IT Applications Manager, you will contribute, as a member of the IT Management Team, to developing the Club’s IT strategy and to the attainment of that strategy.

To develop and execute an integrated applications and data architecture aligned to support the Club’s strategic and operational objectives.

  • Develop and maintain a sound and integrated enterprise architecture.
  • Deliver an integrated applications landscape aligned to work processes and information flows to support the Club’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure that systems provide protection of the Club’s data to comply with the respective standards and legislation, including GDPR and PCI DSS compliance.
  • Develop the Club’s website and other applications in conjunction with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, analyse and report on systems and user needs.
  • Provide user support in the use of Applications including training ‘Super-users’ as the first line support for end users.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the Club’s IT systems.
  • Assist in the development of the Club’s communication capabilities to understand and respond to members’ needs.
  • Assist in management of the Club’s IT application vendors and contracts to ensure an integrated data and applications landscape and that vendors achieve agreed service levels. Suppliers include:

o Front Office Applications: PMS, POS, Membership, Activities, CRM,

o Back Office Applications: Finance, HR, Procurement, Business Intelligence, H&S,

o Digital Strategy: website, mobile app, digital services.

  • Effectively manage and support the IT Applications team, ensuring that training needs are met and that performance is managed and reviewed.
  • Assist the IT Infrastructure team when necessary.

About you

  • Demonstrable record of implementing IT strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems, concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Operational or in depth understanding of the hospitality environment.
  • Data and applications architecture.
  • Building websites and apps for mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing on premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Project and change management.
  • Budget management.
  • Experience working with GDPR/Data compliance regulations.
  • Experience managing PCI-DSS compliance.

Requirements

  • IT Degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of managing relevant IT systems/applications, concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong and demonstrable IT project management/delivery.
  • Working within GDPR/ICO compliant environment.
  • Managing PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Managing a team supporting both 3rd party/SAAS and custom, in-house systems.
