Full job description

We’re looking for a legal EA to join our team here at Starbucks EMEA. A place where you’re valued, challenged, and inspired. Where your voice is brewed into everything we do. At Starbucks, we’re all about you.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for providing dedicated support to the Directors, Corporate Counsel, across the EMEA Law & Corporate Affairs team. You act as a trusted partner, enabling legal leaders to focus on strategic priorities by managing day-to-day operations, coordination and administration. The role focuses on delivering high-quality executive and legal administrative support, including diary management, meeting and travel coordination, contract administration, legal documentation, purchase orders, invoice processing, document management and governance activities. It also plays a key role in improving team effectiveness, maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth operation of the Legal function.

We’ll look to you to bring your previous experience in supporting senior legal leadership members within complex, fast-paced corporate environments. You’ll have a legal qualification, ideally ILSPA legal secretary (or equivalent) and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools and bring a highly organised, detail-orientated and proactive approach to supporting operations, governance and administrative processes. You’ll have previous experience in contract administration, purchase order management, invoice processing and governance processes within document management systems. We’re looking for a strong communicator who is able to build relationships cross-functionally whilst demonstrating adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.

The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our legal EA, you’ll get involved in:

  • Delivering proactive administrative, operational and governance support to senior legal leaders, ensuring priorities, meetings, travel, communications and key deliverables are managed effectively and efficiently.

  • Managing departmental processes, including purchase orders, invoices, expenses, contract administration, document management and e-signature workflows, while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.

  • Maintaining accurate records, contract repositories and filing systems, ensuring information is organised, accessible and managed with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Driving operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining ways of working and supporting the effective delivery of team priorities and projects.

  • Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, cross-functional teams, service providers and external partners, to ensure smooth execution of activities and strong service delivery.

  • Demonstrating sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential, sensitive and business-critical information.
  • Managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines effectively, while maintaining accuracy, consistency and high standards of delivery in a fast-paced environment.

In return, we’ll offer you a competitive salary and benefits that include:

  • 25 days holiday a year (plus Bank Holidays)

  • Flexible benefits – in addition to the benefits listed here we’ll also provide you with an additional 4% to allow you to select the benefits that suit you

  • Life assurance and private medical insurance for yourself

  • Comprehensive training (including coffee knowledge!) and access to Starbucks Global Academy (our online learning platform to help continuously develop yourself)

  • Free bag of coffee each week and a 30% partner discounts on food, beverages, and merchandise

  • Discounts with local and national retailers (cell phones, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perks at Work platform

  • Subscription to Headspace

  • Home Sweet Loan (Interest-free loans that can be paid back over 12 months to help pay your rental deposit)

  • Bean stock options for all partners (own part of Starbucks!)

  • A free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme available to you and your family

So, if you’re looking for a new opportunity, with us you’ll be welcomed, you’ll be challenged, you’ll be inspired. Here you’ll be heard. Because here, you’re a part of it all. Here you belong.
