About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Cloud Specialist roles within enterprise infrastructure and cloud delivery. Roles of this type may sit within collaborative teams working across UK-wide locations, supporting the design, deployment and optimisation of cloud solutions that drive business outcomes.

The work could involve partnering across development, infrastructure and operations teams to deliver scalable, resilient cloud architectures. You could contribute to the modernisation of enterprise systems, working with cloud platforms and containerisation technologies to support organisations across technology, engineering, life sciences and financial services.

Typical role overview

  • Location: UK-wide (nationwide)
  • Type: Contract · Full-time
  • Day Rate: £400–550 per day (depending on experience and skills)
  • Background: Cloud infrastructure and engineering
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of cloud solutions across Azure, AWS or GCP environments
  • Supporting the deployment and management of containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Participating in CI/CD pipeline development and automation using modern tooling
  • Collaborating with infrastructure and development teams to optimise cloud architecture and performance
  • Supporting the integration of microservices and distributed systems within cloud platforms
  • Contributing to infrastructure-as-code implementations using tools such as Terraform
  • Assisting with data pipeline design and quality assurance
  • Supporting the migration and modernisation of enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

Must-have

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Working knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automation practices
  • Understanding of APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#/.NET or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent cloud certification
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE environments
  • Experience with data pipeline development and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
  • Exposure to BPMN and UML methodologies
