We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties

  • Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Deliver menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Manage food production schedules to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours.
  • Implement and monitor strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with legal regulations.
  • Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste and optimise costs.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote professional development.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the kitchen at all times.
  • Assist in hiring new team members and conducting performance reviews.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Extensive food production experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and hygiene regulations.
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant setting with an emphasis on culinary excellence.
  • Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience in menu development and creative culinary innovation is highly desirable.
