Overview
Stubbs Restaurants in Ashford TN25 4DU is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Chef to uphold our Rosette standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, demonstrated leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work within a prestigious establishment renowned for its high-quality all fresh from scratch, cuisine and excellent service. The Senior Chef will be responsible for assistance in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining food safety standards, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence.

Duties

  • Help lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure the delivery of dishes that meet Rosette standards.
  • Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all menu items.
  • Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining speed + efficiency during service periods.
  • Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
  • Mentor junior staff, providing training and support to foster professional development.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control wastage to optimise kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold our hospitality standards by maintaining a positive environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a high-standard culinary environment, preferably with Rosette accreditation.
  • Extensive food production, preparation, and cooking experience in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
  • Previous restaurant experience at a senior level, demonstrating consistency in delivering exceptional cuisine.
  • Ability to organise workload efficiently during busy service periods whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of hospitality principles, including serving standards and guest relations.
