Full job description

Nanny / Housekeeper / Family PA — Live-Out (West Hampstead, NW6)

Job type: Full-time, permanent, live-out

Salary: c. £40,000 per year (gross, depending on experience)

Schedule:Monday to Friday (3 long days, 2 short days — see below)

Start date: September 2026

Benefits: Family car provided for the school run · Private health insurance after probation · Workplace pension · 28 days' holiday (incl. bank holidays)

About the role

A warm, professional couple in West Hampstead (NW6) is looking for an experienced, capable nanny/housekeeper to become a trusted part of family life. We have two young boys — one starting Reception at a school in Mill Hill this September, and a baby attending a local nursery.

This is a genuine all-rounder role combining sole-charge childcare, full housekeeping for the family, and light PA/admin support. We're looking for someone hands-on, organised and happy moving between a school run, the laundry, and booking a family holiday in the same day.

Hours

  • Monday to Wednesday: 7.00am to 6.30–7.00pm (finish time agreed with you)
  • Thursday & Friday: 7.00am to 12.00pm
  • Mornings start at 7.00am to help get the boys ready and do the school and nursery drop-offs (Monday to Friday). Afternoon collections are Monday to Wednesday.
  • The same weekly hours apply during school holidays, with full care of both boys during the day.
  • Occasional evening/weekend babysitting and occasional family travel — always agreed in advance and paid/compensated separately.

What you'll do

Childcare (sole charge)

  • Morning routine and breakfast; school run to Mill Hill (by 8.15am) and nursery drop-off
  • Afternoon collections (Mon–Wed), after-school care, meals, play, bath and bedtime routine
  • Liaising with the school and nursery; activities and playdates

Housekeeping (whole family)

  • Cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing and changing bedding
  • Family cooking and grocery shopping (in person and online)
  • General household management — deliveries, tradespeople, errands, supplies

Family PA (light)

  • Booking travel, holidays and appointments
  • Managing the family calendar and general household admin

About you

Essential

  • Full, clean UK driving licence and a confident driver (the daily Mill Hill school run is central to the role — a family car is provided and insured for it)
  • At least 3 years' professional sole-charge experience with under-5s
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain) and current paediatric first aid (or willing to obtain)
  • Checkable recent references
  • Right to work in the UK and fluent English
  • Genuinely comfortable with the combined childcare + housekeeping + admin nature of the role
  • Discreet and trustworthy (a confidentiality agreement forms part of the role)
  • Valid passport and happy to travel with the family occasionally

Desirable

  • Experience juggling a school-age child and a baby/toddler
  • Ofsted registration (or willingness to register)
  • Confident cook for children and adults
  • Experience supporting a busy working household with admin/PA tasks

How to apply

Please apply with your CV and a short note on why this combined role suits you. We'll ask for two recent references at interview. We're looking to meet candidates as soon as possible to allow time to settle in before the September term.

Pay: From £17.00 per hour

  • Private medical insurance
