Full job description

Perrett & Co. Financial Services Ltd is a long-established firm of Independent Financial Planners, providing high-quality advice to individuals and businesses. Our services include wealth management, tax planning and holistic financial planning.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit two Graduate Trainees to join the business as part of a structured training programme. The programme is designed to develop individuals through to qualification in professional financial services roles, with routes available into either technical support (such as paraplanning/technical administration) or financial advice, subject to performance reviews and professional accreditation.

Successful candidates will provide key support to our Financial Advisers, working closely with our paraplanning team, in-house investment team and technical specialists. With ongoing training and support, responsibilities will develop over time from core administrative and technical tasks to more advanced analytical work and client-facing activity. For suitable candidates, this may ultimately lead to providing advice directly to clients or specialising in high-level technical support.

Graduate Trainees will initially be supported through study towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Subject to review, there will then be the opportunity to progress to the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, gaining Chartered status.

We offer an open and collaborative team approach at Perrett & Co., where all staff are encouraged to play an active role in the development of the practice. We aim to provide an unrivalled service to our clients whilst also promoting a positive work/life balance for our team, such as the flexibility to opt for a 4 day week over the Spring/Summer months.

Interviews are expected to take place in August 2026, with successful candidates joining the business in September 2026.

Requirements:

  • Graduate level (or equivalent).
  • Organised, with a high level of attention to detail and able to work to deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as client liaison is required.
  • Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Dedicated, with a keen interest in people and the subject matter within financial planning.
  • A team player, comfortable working with others within a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career in financial services, with full training provided and sponsorship towards professional qualifications. Salary will increase incrementally as each professional exam is successfully completed, rising to £35,000 on achievement of the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

In addition to a clear development pathway, we offer a range of staff benefits, including a well-funded pension scheme and private medical insurance.
