About the team:

The Prudential Risk team is responsible for ensuring the Bank adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite measures relating to liquidity, interest rate and solvency risk. The team provides oversight of first line business activity and is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of key risk metrics to a range of governance forums, including Board-level committees.

Reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO), the team works closely with colleagues across Treasury, Capital Markets, Finance, Savings and Lending to ensure risks are effectively understood, monitored and managed.

What you will be doing:

As a Risk Analyst, you will support the ongoing monitoring, assessment and reporting of market, liquidity and solvency risks across the Bank. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will produce and analyse management information, support key regulatory deliverables and provide insightful reporting to a range of stakeholders, committees and working groups.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of Prudential Risk activities, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical, reporting and risk management skills while working closely with colleagues across Treasury, Capital Markets and Finance.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Producing and analysing daily, weekly and monthly management information and risk reporting.
  • Supporting the processes for identifying and evaluating regulatory developments, market trends, and industry practice and providing meaningful analysis and commentary.
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of risk management processes, reporting, stress testing and forecasting activities.
  • Presenting management information at Working Group meetings, supporting the Group Head of Liquidity Risk and Group Head of Market Risk.
  • Maintaining risk models, documentation, policies and analytical tools to support effective risk oversight.
  • Supporting key regulatory deliverables of a market and liquidity risk nature, e.g ICAAP, ILAAP and providing second line oversight and challenge of relevant regulatory reporting.

Please note this role can be based from either our Chatham or Wolverhampton office.
