Hillcrest Homes is recruiting for an Information Governance Officer

About the Department

Our Business Services Team is part of the wider Corporate Services function, providing support to all companies within Hillcrest. We provide support with a variety of functions including insurance, procurement, fleet management, information governance, social value, internal audit and equality, diversity and inclusion.

About the Role

In this role, the main responsibilities will be responding to statutory information requests under Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation and assessing and investigating personal data breaches. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Hillcrest’s Guide to Information in line with Freedom of Information legislation
  • Coordinating audits to support compliance with Data Protection legislation and other areas of information governance
  • Ensuring that the declaration of interest process is compliant

About You

You will have:

  • Knowledge of Data Protection legislation
  • Experience of responding to statutory information requests such as subject access requests and freedom of information requests
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
