Salary: £16.25 - 16.50 per hour

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Retail Security & Loss Prevention Officer to join our team in London - Oxford Street.

This role is ideally suited to individuals who have a proven background in retail security, loss prevention, and shrinkage reduction within busy retail environments. We are looking for confident professionals who can combine exceptional customer service with proactive theft prevention and store protection.

Please note that applications will only be considered from candidates who have a minimum of 2 years' retail security experience.

Location: London - Oxford Street
Pay Rate: £16.25 - £16.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Various
Shift Pattern: Various
SG / DS SIA license required

Your Time at Work

As a Senior Retail Security & Loss Prevention Officer, you will:

  • Act as a highly visible security presence to protect colleagues, customers, stock, and company assets
  • Proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss
  • Support the delivery of store loss prevention strategies and contribute to shrinkage reduction
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to suspicious activity and security incidents
  • Conduct investigations and gather relevant information relating to theft and loss prevention incidents
  • Produce accurate and detailed incident reports using digital reporting systems
  • Build positive working relationships with store management and retail teams
  • Ensure all site security procedures and client requirements are followed at all times
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and fire evacuation procedures
  • Conduct staff and contractor searches where required and authorised
  • Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and customer service at all times

Our Perfect Worker

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) or Door Supervision (DS) license
  • A minimum of 2 years' retail security experience
  • Previous loss prevention, store detective, or retail crime prevention experience
  • Experience identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and stock loss
  • Excellent communication and conflict management skills
  • A professional, smart, and highly presentable approach
  • Strong written skills with experience completing incident reports and documentation
  • Confidence using digital reporting systems and mobile technology
  • The ability to remain calm, observant, and decisive in challenging situations
