About the Role

H&M Security Services, an ACS-accredited security provider, is seeking an experienced Manned Guarding Operations Manager to join our established team. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate seamlessly into our current operations team while also possessing the confidence and capability to work independently, managing their own portfolio of sites and clients.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead, develop and motivate security officers across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage your own team of Security Officers
  • Create, update, and maintain Assignment Instructions (AIs) and Risk Assessments for all contracts within your portfolio
  • Produce and deliver regular toolbox talks and training sessions
  • Build strong client relationships through regular meetings, reviews, and proactive communication
  • Conduct site visits (including occasional nights and weekends) to support staff, monitor performance, and ensure service delivery
  • Manage staff performance, welfare, compliance and conduct
  • Plan and maintain rotas using rostering software
  • Respond to incidents and support officers and clients with operational needs
  • Ensure high standards of service in line with ACS requirements

Requirements

Essential:

  • Valid and in-date Frontline SIA Licence
  • Strong background in the Manned Guarding industry (construction sector experience highly desirable)
  • Previous experience at management level within security operations
  • Full Manual UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and rostering systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Professional personal appearance and strong interpersonal skills
  • 5-year checkable employment history
  • Ability to pass SC Clearance
