About the Company

Damyang Ltd operates Korean BBQ restaurants, butcher shops, and wholesale meat distribution businesses in the United Kingdom. We specialise in premium Korean and international meat products, supplying both retail and hospitality customers.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations across our restaurant, butcher shop, and wholesale divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, cost optimisation, and procurement planning to support the company's continued growth.

Position & Salary

Position: PURCHASING MANAGER

Employer: Damyang Ltd t/a Treestone BBQ Kitchen
Location: London, United Kingdom
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Annual Leave: 28 days per year (including public holidays)
Salary: £38,700 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers of meat, seafood, food ingredients, packaging, and restaurant supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements based on sales trends and business demands.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, pricing structures, and product quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and purchasing reports.
  • Work closely with restaurant managers, kitchen teams, warehouse staff, and senior management.
  • Analyse market trends, supplier developments, and industry pricing movements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and company procurement policies.
  • Support new product development and supplier selection initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' proven experience in a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Officer, Supply Chain Coordinator, or similar role within:
  • Korean Restaurant Industry;
  • Korean BBQ Restaurant Operations;
  • Korean Butcher Shop;
  • Food Wholesale or Food Distribution Business.
  • Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Business Management;
  • Marketing;
  • Supply Chain Management;
  • Procurement;
  • Logistics;
  • or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyse purchasing data and manage procurement budgets.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Korean food products and supply chains.
  • Korean and English language proficiency.
  • Experience managing food procurement budgets and inventory systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
