Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.
Who We Are…
When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…
From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Whether it’s hosting an unforgettable studio tour, creating an optimal workspace, or equipping talent to tell the best stories, these teams lay the foundation for the memorable experiences we provide.
Your New Role…
Are you a Harry Potter fan? If so, you’ll love working at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (WBSTL) – The Making of Harry Potter.
As an Interactor, part of the Show Experience team, you’ll be an ambassador for the Tour by guiding, entertaining and enlightening visitors whilst on their magical journey. You’ll get up close and personal with authentic Props, Sets and Costumes from the Harry Potter films, and share your passion for filmmaking through detailed and engaging storytelling. From delivering exciting, scripted speeches and special effects demonstrations, to providing expert Harry Potter insight, it's your job to make sure that we exceed their expectations at every opportunity and ensure that they have the best possible experience.

Your Role Accountabilities…
-
Proactively engage and assist with the varied needs of our Visitors by delivering a world class Visitor experience. Anticipate what the Visitors need and be fan obsessed.
-
Present a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable interface between the Tour itself and all visitors to the Tour, working as an ambassador for both.
-
Actively listen and lead with empathy, integrity, and transparency.
-
Proactively seek ways to support your team to work towards the collective goal of exceeding Visitors’ expectations.
-
Continuously improve your own skills and knowledge in relation to the Franchise, Tour operations and your own personal performance.
-
Conduct Added Value Tours and assist in Audio Descriptive Tours as required.
-
Work with the management team to enhance the Show and Visitor experience at every opportunity.
-
Hold pride for your workspace – keep a safe and tidy working area. Deep cleaning of Sets as required by Management Team.
-
Adhere to and champion all guidelines and policies in accordance with WBD policies and procedures.
-
You will be required to stand for up to 5 hours at a time, perform light lifting and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Areas and shows that Interactors perform in contain water-based smoke effects, flashing lights and sudden loud noises; you also will be expected to interact with live show elements such as live actors portraying Death Eaters. Occasionally you will be required to attend communication sessions and training sessions outside of your core working hours. Full training will be provided for successful candidates.
Qualifications & Experience…
-
Understanding of the Harry Potter film series and filmmaking.
-
Previous work experience in a customer/visitor facing role, where a strong emphasis was placed on quality of service and/or experience. Previous work on-stage is desirable.
-
Presentation skills – enthusiasm and ability to speak in public to groups of up to 300 on a microphone. Both scripted elements and improvisation required.
-
Demonstrable ability to learn new skills and adapt to new situations within a visitor focused environment.
-
Able to contribute positively and enjoy working effectively as part of a large and varied team.
Working Pattern…
Contracts range from 16 to 40 hours per week. You will be required to work weekends as part of this working pattern. Weekend work includes both Saturday and Sunday.
Your normal hours of work are between 8am and 10pm over the peak summer period/weekends, and from 8am until 8pm at other times, though some evening event work (finishing at 00:30) is required for events. Shifts outside of these hours can be opted into, and these hours can start as early as 7am.
We provide a free shuttle bus from Watford Junction; however this cannot be relied on if your start/finish time falls outside of our opening hours, therefore you must ensure that you are able to arrange your own travel arrangements to/from work on these occasions.
All working patterns will include weekends and Bank Holidays (those on part-time contracts will work a proportionate number of weekends and bank holidays as those on a full-time contract).
Business Overview…
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter opened its doors on 31st March 2012. The unique attraction offers visitors the ultimate chance to get up close to authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series including stepping in to the Great Hall and Gringotts Wizarding Bank. The Studio Tour has welcomed over 15 million visitors and has been well received with 96% of the 46,000+ reviews on TripAdvisor rating it as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’ and over 60,000 4- or 5-star ratings on Google Reviews.
How We Get Things Done…
This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
