Full job description

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to work shifts alongside our established team and help assist with the smooth running of our kitchen at The Fox & Barrel, Cotebrook.

The Fox and Barrel is a country pub restaurant and bar. The pub reopened early May 2019, after a major £1m refurbishment, including a brand new state of the art, 200 square foot kitchen, with an additional £400,000 currently being spent on a new restaurant area and second kitchen to further enhance our offering.

Our Food philosophy:

Everything is made in house using fresh seasonal produce. Daily and seasonally changing menus allow constant creativity as well as perfecting plenty of pub classics with a modern twist.

The role:

You will be working alongside the other chefs to help support the everyday prep work and anything else that the chefs may need.

Working a variation of shifts to help with the daily running of the kitchen and preparation work

Experience:

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and have a great eye for detail and presentation. You should have a couple of year's experience under their belt in a similar role but the most important thing to us the the right attitude, with a willingness to learn and work well in a team.

Rate of pay: Minimum wage

Christmas Day and New Year's Eve Evening Off.

Candidates will be required to work alongside our team of chefs & front of house staff at their busiest times in the daytime, evenings and at weekends.

Previous experience is not needed although enthusiasm, initiative and a genuine interest for working in a busy environment is a real must. Transport is essential so please consider in advance how you would travel to work and back before applying.
