Cotswold Gold are a multi award winning food producer in the Cotswolds. Due to further expansion and growth we are looking for a Food Production Operative.

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Food Production Operatives.

As a Food Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and high quality preparation of food products. This position requires individuals who are physically fit and able to handle the demands of a fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow production schedules and recipes to prepare food products according to established standards.
  • Operate and maintain various production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Perform tasks such as mixing, filling, packaging food items and adhering to hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including sanitising work surfaces, equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor product quality during production, identifying any defects or inconsistencies and reporting them to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Lift and move heavy containers, ingredients, and finished products as required, engaging in physically demanding tasks.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to food safety and production procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing suggestions for process enhancements and efficiency gains.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in food production or a physically demanding role is preferred but not essential.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and understanding production schedules.
  • Willingness to adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.
