Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working | £40,000 + Bonus
Are you a Newly Qualified Solicitor looking to join a growing litigation team that offers genuine long-term career progression, hybrid working and the opportunity to develop your expertise within Housing Disrepair? MPJ Recruitment is working with an established Manchester-based law firm seeking an ambitious NQ Solicitor to take the next step in their legal career.

The Role
You'll manage your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters, handling claims from pre-litigation through to settlement while developing your litigation skills within an experienced and supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims
- Handling both pre-litigation and litigated matters
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documents
- Reviewing expert evidence and disclosure
- Negotiating settlements and advising clients
- Preparing matters for hearings and trial where required
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve positive client outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and the Civil Procedure Rules
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who:
- Are a Newly Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Have experience within litigation gained during a Training Contract, Paralegal role or fee-earning position
- Have Housing Disrepair experience or a genuine interest in developing within the sector
- Possess strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills
- Are organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
- Have experience of Housing Conditions and/or HDR claims (desirable but not essential)
