About this opportunity

Join our dedicated Road Lighting Team and help maintain over 35,000 streetlights and illuminated signs across Cumberland. As a Street Lighting Operative, you’ll carry out a variety of installation, maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring our streets remain safe, well-lit and welcoming for residents. The role includes cleaning and replacing lamps, installing columns and cabling, completing basic electrical testing, operating MEWPs, and keeping accurate records. You’ll also support general highway maintenance during quieter periods and take part in out of hours duties, including winter service.

This role is available on a permanent basis.
