Job description

Job Title: Rapid Rehousing Worker

Directorate: Social Services Health and Housing

Section: Housing Options

Contract Type: 1 x Permanent

Hours: Part Time, 24 Hours over 4 days.

Location of post: Lewis Road, Neath – with a requirement to work across various locations within NPT.

We are currently looking for aRapid Rehousing Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to provide practical support, guidance, and advocacy to help people sustain their accommodation and avoid repeat homelessness. You’ll work closely with individuals to build their skills, confidence, and resilience, empowering them to maintain stable housing and improve their overall wellbeing.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience supporting people with multiple and complex needs, including challenges related to substance misuse, offending behaviour, mental health, and exploitation.
  • A strong understanding of the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
  • The ability to work in a trauma informed, person-centred environment, using creative and flexible approaches to problem-solving.

Please note you must possess minimum qualifications of 4 GCSE’s Grade A-C or equivalent.
