Full job description
At Everyturn Mental Health, we're committed to helping people lead healthier and happier lives through compassionate, high-quality mental health support. We're looking for an experienced and passionate Step 4 High Intensity Therapist to join our Wirral Talking Therapies Service and support clients presenting with complex trauma, long-standing emotional difficulties and co-morbid mental health needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified therapist who enjoys working with complex presentations and wants to be part of a supportive, innovative service that is committed to delivering outstanding care and improving outcomes for the people we support.
- This is a part-time role, contracted at 22.5 hours per week.
- Hybrid Working (Remote Working May Be Considered)
About the role
As a Step 4 High Intensity Therapist, you'll spend around 60% of your time delivering direct clinical interventions to clients with complex and enduring psychological difficulties. Using an integrative approach, you'll provide evidence-based therapies such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT and other appropriate therapeutic modalities, tailoring treatment to meet individual needs.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll undertake comprehensive assessments, formulate and deliver treatment plans, manage clinical risk and make informed decisions regarding appropriate interventions. You'll work collaboratively with clients, carers and professional partners, providing expert clinical input to support recovery and improve wellbeing.
Alongside your clinical work, you'll contribute to service development, co-facilitate therapeutic groups, participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide clinical supervision and support to colleagues where appropriate.
About you
We're looking for a qualified and experienced therapist with a strong background in delivering evidence-based interventions within Talking Therapies and/or Step 4 services.
You'll have:
- Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) in CBT or another recognised evidence-based psychological therapy modality.
- Accredited with a recognised professional body, such as BABCP or BPS, or willing to achieve accreditation within your first 12 months.
- Experience working within Step 4 and/or Talking Therapies services, with a strong understanding of the stepped care model.
- Experience supporting clients presenting with complex trauma, long-standing emotional difficulties and co-morbidities.
- Strong assessment, formulation and risk management skills.
- Ability to work integratively, adapting interventions to meet the individual needs of clients.
- Additional training and/or experience in modalities such as EMDR, DBT, ACT or Couples Therapy would be advantageous.
- Experience of multidisciplinary working and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of clinical supervision models and approaches.
- A commitment to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care, while maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
