Counselling Tutor Development Opportunity
Job details
Full job description
Could you inspire the next generation of counsellors?
Think back to the tutors who supported you during your own counselling training. Could you see yourself offering that same encouragement, guidance and support to someone just starting their journey?
At Astranti, we're looking for qualified counsellors who would love to share their knowledge and experience through teaching.
We're offering a supported 12-month training pathway to help you develop the skills, experience and confidence to become a counselling tutor. You'll begin as an online co-tutor on a CPCAB Level 2 course, gradually progressing towards teaching Level 4 classes at our Bristol venue.
No previous teaching experience is needed. We'll guide you throughout the programme, supporting you in gaining the required teaching and supervision requirements.
Why consider becoming a counselling tutor?
Becoming a counselling tutor can be a rewarding way to build on your existing experience, develop new skills and explore new opportunities alongside your counselling practice.
- Share your passion for counselling: Experience the satisfaction of helping aspiring counsellors grow in confidence, develop their skills and take their first steps into the profession.
- Grow as a counsellor: Deepen your own knowledge and reflective practice by revisiting counselling theories, exploring different perspectives and learning from others.
- Create an additional income stream: Enjoy the opportunity to earn extra income through teaching alongside your existing counselling work, while adding variety to your career. Pay ranges up to £240 per teaching session, depending on your level and input.
- Build your confidence in teaching: Learn alongside experienced tutors, with practical guidance in facilitating groups, delivering sessions, marking and providing constructive feedback.
- Open doors to new opportunities: Develop valuable teaching skills and work towards teaching and supervision credentials that could broaden your future career options.
Who are we looking for?
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- A recognised counselling qualification and membership of a professional counselling body.
- At least one year of counselling experience.
- A genuine interest in teaching, supporting learners and sharing your knowledge.
- An interest in using a variety of therapeutic models in an effective and integrated way
- The ability to travel to our Bristol centre to deliver in-person Level 4 classes.
You don't need to be an experienced teacher. We're looking for someone who is approachable, enthusiastic and keen to develop their skills with our support.
How to apply
To apply, simply upload your CV through Indeed and send a short introductory video (of around 2 minutes) via WhatsApp to 07575 205136.
In your video, we'd like to hear why you're interested in becoming a counselling tutor, a little about your counselling ethos and your experience with different counselling modalities.
Don't worry about making a polished video. We're simply interested in getting to know you and what excites you about this opportunity.
Applications close on 31st October 2026.
