GDC Registered Dental Nurse & Practice Manager

Working Pattern: Practice Management duties initially 4 days per week (moving to 4/5 days depending on operational needs), with the flexibility to provide clinical dental nursing cover as required by the practice.

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and GDC Registered Dental Nurse to step into a Practice Manager role and oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership potential, a solid understanding of dental services, and an eagerness to manage teams and practice operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a professional environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to blend administrative leadership with clinical support, dividing their time between dedicated management days and stepping into a dental nursing role as operative needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical support as a GDC registered dental nurse as required by the practice’s daily operative needs.
• Lead and supervise the practice team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
• Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency and strict compliance with CQC standards and industry regulations.
• Manage financial and administrative aspects of the practice, including budgeting, billing, and reporting.
• Handle human resources functions such as recruitment, staff training, performance appraisals, and staff welfare.
• Ensure high standards of clinical care are maintained in accordance with GDC guidelines and practice policies.
• Develop and implement business strategies to promote practice growth and exceptional patient satisfaction.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (including HTM 01-05) and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Support marketing initiatives to enhance the practice’s profile within the community.

Qualifications

• Active GDC Registration as a Dental Nurse is essential.
• Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a supervisory role is highly desirable,
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt between administrative management duties and clinical dental nursing.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A basic understanding of operational or financial management, with a willingness to learn budgeting and reporting.
• Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to staff recruitment, development, and welfare.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team and build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
