Ready to shape the voice of one of Europe’s leading ferry companies?

At Stena Line, we connect people, businesses and societies across Europe through safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions. Our Group Marketing team plays a key role in strengthening our brand, driving commercial performance and creating campaigns that resonate across multiple markets.

We’re now looking for a talented and commercially minded Senior Content Writer to join our Creative team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced copywriter and storyteller to shape high-impact campaigns, influence creative direction and help elevate how Stena Line communicates across channels and regions.

If you thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, enjoy turning insight into compelling messaging and want to work on integrated campaigns with real business impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Senior Content Writer, you’ll play a leading role in developing distinctive, performance-driven content that strengthens our market position and supports commercial results. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll help shape campaign messaging, refine creative concepts and ensure consistency across all written communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing compelling copy and campaign messaging across multiple formats and channels.
  • Shaping and elevating integrated campaign concepts aligned to creative direction and business goals.
  • Translating customer insight and commercial objectives into engaging, conversion-focused content.
  • Applying and refining messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across regions and touchpoints.
  • Acting as a guardian of tone of voice and maintaining high editorial standards.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to shape briefs and define communication approaches.
  • Mentoring and supporting Content Writers and wider creative teams through feedback and creative guidance.
  • Using campaign performance data and insight to refine messaging and optimise effectiveness.
  • Monitoring industry trends, creative best practice and customer behaviour to continuously improve output.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strategic and creative thinker with excellent storytelling ability and a passion for delivering high-quality content that drives results. You’ll be a collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, while also being confident in thinking independently, using initiative and bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table.

You’ll need to:

Bring strong conceptual thinking and the ability to develop compelling narratives across channels.

Balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and consistency in written communication.

Be confident collaborating with stakeholders and constructively challenging briefs where needed.

Adapt positively to feedback and changing priorities.

Be curious about emerging technologies and interested in integrating AI tools into creative processes.

Be willing to travel occasionally as required.

Experience & Qualifications

Significant experience in a senior copywriting role within an agency or in-house marketing environment.

Proven experience developing creative content for integrated campaigns.

Demonstrated success balancing long-term brand development with short-term commercial performance.

Strong portfolio showcasing concept development and multi-channel execution.

Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

What We Offer

  • Concessionary travel on Irish Sea/North Sea routes
  • 75% discount on UK Rail travel
  • Company pension & life assurance
  • Discounts on gym memberships, digital fitness and equipment
  • Wellbeing cash plan (dental, eye tests, health screening and more)
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
