About the Organisation

Our client is a unique attraction based in Southeast Cornwall. Through heritage, storytelling, hospitality and engaging visitor experiences, the organisation aims to create a meaningful and memorable day out for guests while continuing to grow its audience, reputation and digital presence.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative, organised and confident social media, CRM & Communications Officer to support and deliver social media, audience communication, CRM and customer engagement activity including KPI analysis.

Working alongside the senior marketing team, the successful candidate will help coordinate the social media strategy, manage day to day social media activity, support email and CRM marketing, and ensure customer communications are handled promptly and in a tone that reflects the values and personality of the organisation.

This is a hands on, site based role because the attraction is immersive, story led and highly visual. The successful candidate will undertake in depth training to understand the organisation, its history, values and storytelling approach, allowing them to represent the brand authentically across social media, email and customer communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinating the social media strategy in collaboration with the senior marketing team.

· Planning, creating, scheduling and publishing engaging social media content across relevant platforms.

· Running day to day social media activity, including monitoring channels, responding to messages and managing comments in a timely and brand appropriate manner.

· Monitoring social media messages, enquiries and engagement, escalating anything sensitive or operationally important where required.

· Managing the main customer email channels, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly, accurately and in keeping with the tone of the company.

· Writing clear, warm and professional customer communications that reflect the organisation’s tone of voice.

· Supporting email marketing and CRM activity, including newsletters, audience communications, customer contact lists, segmentation and campaign coordination.

· Helping to maintain and develop audience engagement through consistent, thoughtful and well written communication.

· Researching upcoming seasons, events, anniversaries, awareness days and relevant opportunities for content and communications planning.

· Working with senior management and operational teams to identify stories, developments and visitor experiences suitable for audience engagement.

· Supporting consistent tone of voice, storytelling and brand identity across social media, email, CRM and other public facing communication.

· Occasionally capturing on site content including photography and video where required.

· Supporting website updates, blog content and digital audience engagement where appropriate.

· Supporting promotion of events, seasonal activities and new developments within the attraction.

· Monitoring engagement, audience growth, email performance and campaign effectiveness.

· Producing regular updates and reports with clear, accessible data and performance insights for the senior management team.

· Working with suitable AI tools and digital systems where appropriate to support efficiency, content planning and customer communication.

· Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure communications activity aligns with business priorities and visitor experience.

Essential Requirements

· Experience in social media coordination, digital communications, email marketing, CRM or a related role.

· Strong understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement and digital communication.

· Experience using email marketing or CRM systems, or the ability and willingness to develop confidently in this area.

· Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice appropriately.

· Confidence in responding to customer enquiries professionally and sensitively.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple channels and priorities.

· Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency across public facing communication.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams.

· Creative approach to content, storytelling and audience engagement.

· Ability and willingness to work primarily on site in South East Cornwall.

· Flexibility to support occasional events and some weekend work where required.

Desirable Skills & Experience – None Essential

· Degree level qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field.

· Experience within tourism, heritage, hospitality or visitor attractions.

· Photography, videography or content creation experience.

· Understanding of website content, SEO and digital audience growth.

· Experience using AI supported digital communication tools appropriately and professionally, or an interest in learning.

· Knowledge of the local area and tourism market.

What We Offer

· Opportunity to play a key role within a unique and growing visitor attraction.

· Creative and varied working environment.

· Opportunity to help shape social media, CRM and audience communication activity.

· Supportive and collaborative team environment.

· Flexible working pattern depending on candidate and business needs.

If this opportunity sounds of interest, we would love to hear from you.
