Full job description
We are looking for a North-West-based Content Marketing Executive to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract and help drive our ambitious plans to scale and grow over the next few years.
This is a varied and exciting role for a strategic, marketing-savvy professional who is also a skilled writer. Every day, you will be working across a diverse mix of blogs, podcasts, videos, and other online content, thinking about how to make the most of it for our clients' audiences.
Candidates need to have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in content marketing and a content agency background. You need to think strategically about content, understanding audiences, channels and messaging, and know how to develop and improve the processes that bring great content to life.
Strong writing is a core part of the role, and a keen eye for detail across all content formats is essential.
The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and primarily remote (typically 1 day per week at our Manchester office). Part-time will also be considered for the right person.
The company
Content 10x is a B2B content marketing agency. We work with businesses from around the world, creating and repurposing content to help them reach new audiences and grow.
We're an innovative, growing agency, offering an exciting opportunity for the right person. You need to have a genuine passion for content marketing, strong B2B experience, and a desire to help shape and improve the way we work. If you share our relentless pursuit of high-quality content, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
As a Content Marketing Executive, you will bring a marketer's mindset to everything you do. You'll think strategically about content - how it serves an audience, how it fits into a wider marketing picture, and how it can be repurposed to maximise reach and impact.
A key part of the role involves consuming our clients' content - podcast episodes, webinars, reports, event content - and developing content plans that make the most of it. You'll think about what will resonate with their audience, which formats will work best across which channels, and how to maintain a consistent, compelling brand voice.
From there, you'll bring those plans to life. That includes producing edit notes for our creative team, identifying the best moments for social media, and creating written content - blog posts, social media copy, email, storyboards for image carousels, and more. Strong writing is a core skill in this role, and you'll complete a writing and copyediting task as part of our recruitment process.
You'll also play an important role in developing and refining our content marketing processes, identifying opportunities to improve how we work - including thoughtful, responsible integration of AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity (but not to replace the thinking or the craft).
You will liaise and collaborate with our creative and content management teams and have direct contact with clients. You'll be involved in QA review and the distribution of content onto channels, including WordPress, podcast hosting platforms, LinkedIn and more, giving you end-to-end involvement from brief to publication.
You'll also support our internal content and marketing activities, with the opportunity to own projects such as client case studies, campaigns, blog, social media, and podcast content.
The role is perfect for you if you have:
- A genuine passion for content marketing - you think like a marketer, stay close to industry trends, and understand how content fits into the bigger picture of audience growth and brand building
- Strong marketing instincts - you consider audience, channel, messaging and strategy before you put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard)
- Exceptional writing skills - specifically for B2B, across both long-form and short-form content (particularly LinkedIn)
- Experience developing and improving content marketing processes - you enjoy finding smarter ways to work
- Skills in utilising AI and a curiosity to find creative, innovative ways to incorporate AI into content marketing workflows - alongside a clear understanding of the risks and pitfalls (we have a strict AI-usage policy)
- A strong understanding of best practices across key social media channels, particularly LinkedIn
- Outstanding attention to detail - from a sharp copyediting eye to spotting misaligned text on a graphic or out-of-sync audio in a video
- Excellent time management skills; able to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects
- Experience working independently in a remote team, with the ability to take direction constructively
- A creative, ideas-driven approach - we constantly strive to innovate and improve, and we want people who share that drive
Tools used (experience desirable but not all essential)
- Project management system – we use ClickUp, but experience in tools like Monday, Basecamp, Asana will still be useful if you haven't used ClickUp
- Website – Wordpress: experience in posting content is a big bonus
- Social media scheduling tools – e.g. Buffer, Hubspot
- Video editing tools - e.g. Descript, Riverside
- Email management system - Kit
- AI tools - Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity and other gen-AI tools
Your experience needs to include:
- A minimum of three years' professional experience in content marketing - specifically in a B2B context
- Experience working for a content or marketing agency
- Demonstrable experience with LinkedIn content - strategy, copy, and understanding of the platform
- Experience in content repurposing - consuming content in one format (podcast, video, blog, etc.) and transforming it into engaging written content across multiple formats and channels
- Experience contributing to or developing content marketing processes and workflows, including AI
What we offer:
- Competitive salary based on talent and experience - £30,000 - £32,000 full-time (UK-based employees - pro-rata for part-time)
- Hybrid working ( 1 day per week or fortnight in Manchester office)
- Pension contributions
- 29 days holiday (pro rata), including your birthday off!
- ½ day off every month for 'life admin' (after 3 months)
- A wellbeing hour on the last Friday of each month to focus on a personal wellbeing activity
- Option to participate in our cashback health scheme
- Employee discounts
- Company social events and outings
You will be an important part of a growing agency and a close-knit team that always puts its clients first, but one that also recognises and rewards the hard work and professionalism of its people. We live by our 7 core values which are: Quality, Passion, Innovation & Improvement, Friendly & Professional, Honesty & Integrity, Slick and Understand Clients.
Reference checks will be conducted for successful candidates.
