Join The Cricket Academy as a Head Coach!
Location: Various venues across the UK
Pay: £12.70 - £13.00 per hour (depending on age & experience) + holiday pay
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM OR 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (venue-dependent)
Expenses: Travel reimbursement (30p per mile after 35 miles/day) + lift share uplift
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced cricket coach looking to inspire the next generation of players? Activate Camps are looking for passionate Head Coaches to lead our fun, engaging, and skills-focused cricket camp, The Cricket Academy.
What is The Cricket Academy?
The Cricket Academy helps children and teenagers develop their cricketing skills through innovative games, coaching, and match play. Each day includes technical drills (batting, bowling, and fielding), gameplay, and challenges.
Sessions are age-appropriate and led by ECB-qualified coaches with childcare experience, using professional-level equipment for a top-quality learning experience.

Your Role as Head Coach:
- Plan and lead exciting cricket sessions, focusing on batting, bowling, and fielding
- Ensure high-quality coaching and child development throughout the camp
- Inspire young players to display Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship, and Teamwork (BEST)
- Oversee a team of coaches, supporting their development
- Deliver engaging technical sessions, gameplay challenges, and match play
- Ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for all participants
- Communicate with parents when required
- Support the Camp Manager with pastoral, safeguarding, and operational duties
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
- A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Understanding of health and safety in a coaching environment
- Experience leading a group of children
- Passion for working with young players
- ECB Level 2 Cricket Coaching qualification or significant coaching experience
- Experience managing staff
Desirable:
- ECB Level 3 Cricket Coaching qualification
- Experience as a Head Coach or in a senior coaching role
- Previous experience working on a holiday camp
- Experience mentoring or developing other coaches
- Evidence of regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
