Westfield Fasteners Ltd – Sales Advisor/Customer Service Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Advisor/Customer Service Advisor to join our busy and expanding team. The position will be based at our premises in rural Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. We are in the hardware business, distributing and retailing fasteners to our world wide range of customers, mainly via our e-commerce platform. Throughout the last decade we have established ourselves as a leading UK supplier. Our continuous growth has lead us to the decision to expand our office based customer service team.

The key role of the Sales Advisor/Customer Service Advisor is to undertake day-to-day work in our office dealing with a large variety of enquiries and tasks via telephone and email, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a timely manner contributing to the daily smooth running operation.

You must be comfortable working in a busy environment with a can-do attitude, have a willingness to learn, great attention to detail and show great manners. As the work includes dealing with customers, suppliers and other businesses over telephone and via email we’d expect you to be confident with strong communication skills verbally and in writing, self-motivated and enthusiastic to offer outstanding work. Important personal qualities, such as being naturally inquisitive, thorough and helpful, resonate with us. A high level of discretion is required as you will have access to personal and commercially sensitive information.

Job purpose:

To work individually and as part of a team, sharing in the efficient completion of the multitude of tasks involved in the daily running of our sales and distribution centre.

Job description and duties:

  • Respond to and act upon enquiries, via email and telephone.
  • Process customer orders via email and telephone.
  • Process quote requests and purchase orders via email and telephone.
  • Prepare and organize bespoke quotes for customers.
  • Process returns.
  • Keep our data base/records accurate and up to date in writing.
  • Customer guidance and advise on products and requirements.
  • Excellent product knowledge.
  • Liaising and communicate with suppliers, couriers and organizing UK/ International shipments.
  • Liaising and communicate with new and existing UK and International customers.
  • Learn to operate the company’s bespoke computer system.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc tasks that are identified as required.
  • Contribute toward Westfield Fastener’s continual growth.

Experience:

  • Previous experience of a customer service role is required.
  • Previous experience of E-commerce customer service is advantageous.
  • Previous knowledge of fasteners is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment.

Essential personal attributes required for this role:

  • A passion for customer service and organization.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and regulations involved in online sales.
  • Confident working under your own initiative whilst being part of a team.
  • Staying calm, assertive and efficient under pressure.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to quick changes.
  • Good communication skills, verbally as well as in writing.
  • Positivity and a can-do attitude.
  • Full driving licence required. You will need your own vehicle to reach the premises.

Hours:

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. Please make sure these hours of work are practical for you before applying for the role.
