Description
We are working with a Medium/Larger forwarder close to Heathrow who are recruiting for a Customs Brokerage Supervisor.

The Customs Brokerage Supervisor is responsible for contract compliance, customer service, operations on certain accounts. Aiding the account manager for external and internal development of nominated accounts. Our client is looking for vast senior level freight/customs experience, and strong knowledge on customs regimes.

Role Involves:
  • Responsible for effective/efficient working practices with the customers.
  • Constantly looking to improve GW margin (reduce cost - increase margin)
  • Oversee and manage SLA and contracts between clients and to always ensure customs compliance.
  • Responsible for extensive reporting including monthly customs reports.
  • Execution of strategic plans to develop and maintain long term partnerships with the customer and their nominated stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings on and off site to develop relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Working with supply chain management team.
  • Control over customer interaction in the form of volumes, revenue and profitability.
  • Act as the customers ambassador internally.
  • Capitalise on all sales activities within the organisation.
  • Organise and work in a project management type approach.
  • Contribute to development of the team.
Experience:
  • Vast senior level freight /customs experience.
  • Experience within freight forwarding/logistics industry.
  • Commercial and customer service activities with a proven success record.
  • In-depth customs knowledge including customs badge systems.
  • Good Negotiation skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Familiar with and able to work within the Import/ Export processes.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Management of staff development.
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm

Salary depends on experience.
