Full job description
Experienced *Female Rehabilitation Support Workers required for a 50-year-old
lady who has an acquired Brain Injury, living in the Stourbridge area.
This is an opportunity to join an established team. We seek dynamic and motivated
rehabilitation support workers. You will be working closely with specialist treating
therapists who will provide bespoke training.
It is essential that you share some of our client’s interest in nature, conservation, classical music, yoga, dance, poetry, arts and crafts and mindfulness/meditation and are able to lead activities with her.
Working hours:
Bank: working hours will be as and when required to cover sickness and annual leave. You are required to work an induction/shadowing period. There are days and night work available. The client receives 2-1 care, but we are trialling periods of 1-1 care for her to give her the opportunity to develop more independence. This is subject to her mental health and only once you are trained and competent. Shifts are 07:00am -19:00pm and half day shifts.
20 Hours per week: We are looking for someone to work flexible hours from 6am – 12 midday and 14:30 – 18:30pm this is not expected to be split shifts on the same day
16 Hours per week: We are looking for someone to work flexible hours 6am -12 midday and 14.30 -18.30pm. This is not expected to be split shifts on the same day.
Rates of pay:
£15.00 per hour Monday to Friday
£16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday
Rising to £16.00 per hour Monday to Friday and £18.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday after completion of successful probation period
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and has some previous
experience of working with clients with acquired brain injury and/or challenging
behaviour. A full driving licence is essential due to the location not being on direct
transport links.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided
