We are now recruiting for a qualified and experienced Damp Surveyor / Sales Consultant in Sheffield and the surrounding area. The role will involve travelling throughout the region and visiting clients.

Duties

  • Conduct damp surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology.
  • Measure distances, angles, and elevations to establish correct damp treatment areas.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports and floorplans for clients .
  • Create sales leads, follow up with meetings and prepare quotations for commercial clients.
  • Have good experience at preparing and submitting tenders for damp proofing jobs for large commercial clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards during surveying activities.
  • Maintain surveying equipment and ensure its accuracy through regular calibration.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and documentation as required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments with strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data collection and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor/indoor environments.
  • Computer literate with relevant knowledge for preparation of tenders, quotations and Work Planner use.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in Timber and Damp Waterproofing .
  • Good knowledge of the Damp Proofing Industry.
  • A Sales and development background preferably in a similar area.
  • Previous knowledge and experience at preparing tenders
  • Excellent Communication and an eye for detail.
  • A passion for sales and the ability to demonstrate enthusiasm in their role.
  • Experience in liaising internally and externally on all technical matters.
  • A team-player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to succeed.
  • Certified Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB, PCA) qualifications.
