Full job description
Six Star Group specialise in making homes warm, dry and healthy. We provide damp-proofing and insulation services; Ensuring our clients live in warm & dry homes that are healthy places to live. Currently we have a permanent role available to assist with financial administration.
We’re looking for a trustworthy and reliable person who has experience providing a finance-focused support function. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and great customer service skills. Our business is growing and office-based support is critical to the success of the growth strategy. We’d like someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude to work with our great team to help with finance.

Key responsibilities include:
· Oversee bookkeeping, ledgers on Sage and matching bank transactions
· Deal with invoice queries and maintain swift payment collections
· Maintain our retention tracker
· Maintain the payment schedule
· Accurate invoicing
· CIS returns including monthly subcontractor CIS deduction statements
· VAT returns
· Financial management of some procurement items
· Assistance of our CRM/board system (Monday.com)
· Handling customer enquiries
· Calendar management
· Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required
A bit about you:
· 2 years minimal financial experience is essential
· Construction-sector or Sage experience will be beneficial
· You must have excellent numeracy skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience
· Solid experience with MS Office
· You must be IT literate and able to work with Apple Macs
· Good work ethic and attention to detail
· Must be incredibly organised and able to handle pressure
Here’s the deal:
26,000 - £29,000 PA equivalent, depending on experience
