Job Title: Plasterer (Insurance Reinstatement & Preservation Work)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £18.50 per hour

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated plasterer to join our team at JDN Property Services Ltd. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of projects across both private and commercial sectors, including:

• Full strip-outs and reinstatement of properties following insurance claims.
• Damp proofing and decay work.
• Restoration of fire and flood-damaged properties.
• General property maintenance as required.

The role will involve:

• Dot and dabbing, skimming, and coving.
• Blocking out using lightweight plasters and renders.
• Ensuring high-quality finishes in all aspects of plastering work.

Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate will be:
✔ Well-motivated, eager to learn new skills, and punctual.
✔ Experienced in insurance reinstatement or preservation work (preferred but not essential).
✔ Knowledgeable about health and safety procedures and site cleanliness.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (ideally with no points) – a company van will be provided.
• Good physical health and fitness – the role is physically demanding.
• Flexibility with working hours – occasional late finishes may be required to meet customer deadlines.
• Ability to work at height or in confined spaces – not suitable for those with related phobias.
• Smart personal presentation – professional, polite, and customer-friendly attitude.
• Clean criminal record – essential due to contract requirements. PVG checks will be carried out.
• Occasionally, candidates may need to travel to and from sites independently.
